Truespeed community connections

We’re proud to support local community hubs with free, lifelong connections.

Truespeed are proud to sponsor local communiuty clubs. Here a team are showing off their new kit.

Here at Truespeed, supporting local communities is in our DNA. We were founded with the belief that, when it comes to connectivity, no community should be left behind. That’s why our community-focussed ethos has always been at the heart of how we do things.

While other providers are abandoning smaller communities, we’re investing in their futures and ensuring they remain great places to live for generations to come. But this doesn’t just mean investing in their infrastructure and providing them with long-lasting, full-fibre network.

It means connecting local primary schools and community hubs completely free of charge, supporting local causes, projects and initiatives to reach new heights and dream big, and always looking for new ways we can support the communities both our customers and colleagues call home.

Why choose our free service?

With speeds of up to 150Mbps, we’re ensuring seamless communication and efficient online activities for your community members.

Our robust full-fibre guarantees a stable and reliable connection, which means your hub can run smoothly without interruptions.

We aim to empower your community hub to thrive in the digital age, facilitating learning, collaboration, and innovation.

We’ll even provide promotional materials and suggestions for community hubs to share the availability of free broadband with their members.  Just contact our support team for resources.

Who is eligible to apply?

Community hubs such as village halls, church halls, youth clubs, and non-profit organisations located within our service area are eligible to apply for free full-fibre broadband.

We typically connect one hub in each area we serve, and we’ve connected over 150 hubs so far. However, we’re aware that each hub has its own needs and community impact, so we assess all requests on a case-by-case basis.

For the full eligibility criteria, please see here.

Truespeed are proud to offer free school connections across their network.

How do I apply?

To get started, simply fill in the form on this page.

We’ll need to request some documentation to prove your organisation’s address and status (such as a registration certificate) and in some cases we may need some additional information too.  Once we have everything we need we’ll contact you within 5-7 business days to let you know if your application has been successful.

If so and you’re already within our existing network, we’ll coordinate with you to schedule a convenient installation date.  This is normally one or two weeks, depending on your location and existing infrastructure.

If you’re in an area where we haven’t yet completed our build, we’ll keep you updated on the progress. As soon as the connection is nearly ready, we’ll contact you to arrange an installation at a time that works best for you.

Our free service

Our free community package includes full-fibre broadband, with upload and download speeds up to 150 Mbps, which is suitable for typical community hub activities like browsing, online education, and video conferencing.

We’ll discuss Wi-Fi with you as in many cases our WiFi 6 hub is sufficient, but in some cases we have helped with hotspots and more complex requirements.  As with all of our full-fibre broadband there’s no data usage limit, you can use the internet as much as needed. Please see our fair use policy here.

We want to provide completely free internet connectivity for eligible community hubs.  A phone line is available too if required, but this isn’t part of the free package so any calls you make would be chargeable per our standard call charges.  We also offer customer support to all our community hub partners. If you experience any issues, our support team are here to help.
