As a Bath-based broadband provider whose office is just a stone’s throw from the stadium, we’re delighted to announce we’ve connected the Rec to our ultrafast network. This is a multi-year partnership deal that aims to enhance the fan experience at The Rec by providing improved Wi-Fi and connectivity in the Fan Village.
With the launch of this partnership, Bath Rugby will offer free ultrafast Truespeed Wi-Fi to Bath Rugby fans as part of the Fan Village experience at The Rec. With Bath Rugby’s enhanced full-fibre connectivity and the additional Wi-Fi points from Truespeed, Bath Rugby fans can enjoy speeds of up to 300 Mbps in the Fan Village. To deliver this experience, we have upgraded the connectivity to the stadium and installed an additional wireless network in the Fan Village to ensure seamless Wi-Fi.
As part of the deal, we will collaborate on community outreach programmes in the South West. Our Community Connections programme already extends to over 150 schools and community institutions in the South West, and our newly announced partnership aims to extend the scope and impact together.
Tarquin McDonald, Chief Executive at Bath Rugby said: “We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Truespeed. This partnership is an investment and improvement in our stadium infrastructure to enhance the experience of Bath Rugby fans and visitors at The Rec. This upgrade will introduce Wi-Fi to the Fan Village and ensure that Bath Rugby fans, visitors and vendors benefit from the improved connectivity in the area. It is exciting to collaborate with another Bath-based organisation with high ambitions to improve and inspire the communities we operate in”.
James Lowther, Chief Executive at Truespeed said: “Truespeed is excited to launch our new multi-year partnership with Bath Rugby. As a company with strong local roots, Truespeed are proud to be upgrading the broadband infrastructure of the South West. This partnership with the much-loved Bath Rugby team extends the power of our ultrafast full-fibre network to dramatically improve the Fan Village experience at The Rec.”
